Willem Jacobus “Jac” van der Walt falls firmly into the second category.
Born on 23 June 1998 in Port Elizabeth, Jac has carved out his rugby journey through consistency, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to the team cause.
Rugby players often carry nicknames, but few carry one with the weight of family history. For Albert Liebenberg, known affectionately as “Viervoet” or “Alla”, the nickname is more than a label — it’s a legacy passed down through generations.
The Griquas Youth Teams are where talent meets opportunity. We develop young, driven players into future rugby stars through elite coaching, top facilities, and a winning culture rooted in discipline and pride.
We have won the Currie Cup four times – in 1899, 1911, 1970 and 2025; the Vodacom Cup a joint-record five times; the SuperSport Challenge in 2019 most recently SA Cup Champions in 2024.
